MY INTEREST IN SKATEBOARDING

           My interest in skateboarding began when I went to the park when I was younger. I was 8 years old.. The name of the park is named Lineberger park in Gaston. I would see them doing many things with the board. I was amazed. I wanted to learn how to do that. And I also lived by a skate shop. And for that Christmas, I asked for a skateboard. And that's what I received. I broke it years ago (by my foot I jumped on it , I was mad because it hit my shin) but it was a legit skateboard. It was a Flip skateboard with black Independent trucks and Bones wheels.

   Now I'm 14 and basically all of my friends skateboard. It's just a thing we do, we usually make skateboarding videos and put them on YouTube. I mainly skate with my friends Melvin, Mao, Fran, Kevin, And my cousin Nick. In my opinion, the best is between Kevin and Mao (not including me.) But I have a lot of tricks that I can do, I'm actually very good at it. I'm going to the next Redbull competition its in August I believe and Mao and I are both going. And if you get 5th place or up, you will get a better chance of being pro because you have to go through 3 more competitions. And if your 3rd or up, you will more-than-likely to be a AM skater for a sponsor ( not of your choice though.) And from then on out you will be a pro skater with free skate-setups.

       BUT, you have to represent your sponsor so that means that you have to make sponsorship videos. And they have to be good, ( the whole reasoning in the word "pro".)

       There are many types of skaters: Hardcore- skaters who don't care about the law and hates cops. They're the type to fight a cop if they say something to them. Calm- skaters who don't skate out in the public they only use skate parks. Loose skaters- skaters who will do something that was so difficult and make it look as easy as blinking. Daredevils- skaters who take the HIGHEST drop in the world and gets thrills off of it. Preppy- skaters who gets to happy with a skateboard and ends up getting hurt (not a show-off.) Mongo-Pushers- people who skate with the wrong foot going in the wrong skateboarding stance and if you do that then you are considered a Poser, and nobody likes them. And the most hated is PoSeRs- ThEy ArE tHe TyPe Of SkAtErS wHo Do ThIs As TyPiNg, and cannot skate at all but they dress like it and they will say that they can do all the tricks in the book but yet cant Ollie.( an Ollie is when you pop the board off the ground to get air.) And that's my interest in skateboarding.

StePhAn TeLlS TaLe hEaR+

         Today I am going to talk about Edgar Allan Poe and this poem that we are on. The name of the poem is called The Tell Tale Heart, and it is about this man having a relationship with this old man but yet he cannot stand his eye.

      

        In the first part of the poem, the man was being happy with the old man and he didnt have a problem with him, just a problem with his eye. Maybe he had inside feelings for the man and he didnt want to harm him. But then the eye came to bother him. So when it did  bother him untill he couldnt take it no more, the irritated man decided to watch over the man when he was asleep and get the eye. But he couldnt do that because the mans eye was closed, so the crazed man couldnt get it. Later on he chuckled and the old man had heard it and he jumped up and said "Whos there?", but it really didnt matter because the mans room was pitch-black. But when he heard the old man he decided to try it the next day, and that he did. So tomorrow has came and they have done their daily routine and the night strikes, and yet again the crazed man was going to go for the eye, and flashed the lantern on the old mans eye and startled the old man. And when his eye opened, he jumed to the old man and then he suffoctaed him and when he knew the old man was dead, he chopped him up and put him under the floorboards. And after completing that vicious task, I decided to knock on the door because I heard every shriek and squeal. So I called the cops. The cops came and they were talking to him asking what was the problem, and the man said nothing, then he said he could hear the mans heartbeat under the floorboards and he freaked. He thought the cops were mocking him but they didnt hear anything. So then he basically told on himself by talking the old mans carcass out of the floorboards. When they arrested him, they made him stand there and tell the neighbors (including I) the story about what had happened. And now there he lies in the insane asylum.

Rebellion

             My paper is about rebellion. And rebellion is when someone or a group doesnt abide by the rules or the laws. They would rather do what they want to (or as they please). There is many types of rebellion, it could be Religious, Government, or War-like rebellion. Im going to talk about the Religious rebellion group, The name of the group is called OFWG, meaning Odd Future Wolf Gang. They dont believe in the christianity and church and things of all that nature. They believe that what they do is right in away but yet they dont care what happens. The group leaders name is Tyler Okonma (or as known as Tyler The Creator). He got this name because he is now 20 but he started rapping and ended up famous making his own beats and being the head of the team. He was 17 when it happened and he got his VMA award from MTV to be the years best rapper. I am pretty sure that he blames his "atheism" and rebellion on his father. The reason for that is because he never knew his father so basically he does as he pleases to make a bad name for his dad. But even though his group isnt the best, they get accused of many things that they do not do. For example, Tyler got arrested after school because of some dammage that happened of some sort. And he wasnt guilty.

There are more people in the group, the #2 guy name is Thebe Kgositsile ( or Earl, Earl Sweatshirt, or Sly Tendencies.) He is the best rapper in the group to most peoples opinion. He and Tyler knew each other because of school and they were just freinds throughout highschool. Earl is with the rebellion because he just doesnt believe in the "Big Bang".

#3 would be Hodgy Beats. I believe that he is just a guy trying to fit into the group. Even though his rapping skills are good, he just doesnt seem like the type to be religiously rebellion. Thats where the "not abiding by the rules come from". He Graffitis walls and he trashes places and just messes things up.

#4 is Jasper. He is the oldest in the group he is about 22 (somewhere around there) and he is the skateboarder in the group (the best in fact.) And he also has the rebellion that is religiouswise and he is the type of guy who doesnt care about society.

They skate, rap, and party for a living (is my guess because of their videos and songs.) And they have fun doing it, and I dont think that there is a problem with that, (untill it  gets carried away) because I think that people should be able to do what they want but as long as they arent messing up others property. But i do dissgree with then governmental rebellion because according to the news, people try to get more tax money and other things just because they are in the higher office. But they need to know that there are an infinty amount of people on this Earth and we need money so that parents can support their kids and so that their children can support their family. So I dissagree with that one.

And I just dont fully understand the whole war rebellion so I cant say anything about that.

So I guess you can say I 50% agree with the whole rebel thing.
